The science of the smell
Surface sprays fail because the problem isn’t on the surface
When a pet has an accident, gravity does the rest: liquid wicks down through the carpet fiber, into the backing, and often into the pad underneath. Blotting and spraying treats the top half-inch of a problem that’s two inches deep.
Worse, urine dries into crystals that lock in odor and re-release it every time humidity rises — which, in Atlanta, is most of the year. That’s why the smell "comes back" on muggy days. It never left.

Why does the smell keep coming back after I clean it myself?
Because the accident went deeper than the cleaner did. Urine soaks through carpet fiber into the backing and pad, and store-bought sprays only treat the surface. On humid Atlanta days the crystals left below reactivate — that’s the smell returning. Our enzyme treatment breaks those deposits down where they actually are.
Do you mask the odor or actually remove it?
Remove it. Enzymes digest the odor-causing compounds themselves, then our citrus deep clean extracts the residue. Nothing is perfumed over — when we’re done, the spot smells like nothing, which is the point.
Can you fix old, set-in pet stains?
